This 17 slide presentation is beautifully illustrated and fully engaging for the students. This presentation contains varying degrees of challenge, to help with our differentiation responsibilities. This powerpoint includes a literacy starter activity, summary and analysis questions, an academic writing task, an extension task (multiple choice) and a plenary. All my resources have been 'road tested' in class and are reviewed once an academic year.

GCSE English Language: Writing to Explain - CRAFT - Writing Skills

This colourful powerpoint presentation is extremely engaging for the students and has worked well in my own classroom. This presentation establishes clearly the difference between 'explaining' and 'describing' (a common mistake). This presentation takes the students through a number of structured writing exercises and helps the students to explain through the use of the CRAFT acronym.

This beautifully illustrated 20 slide powerpoint presentation is very engaging for the pupils and has been used successfully many times in my own classroom. Through a series of structured written and discussion tasks the student's travel through a series of complaints using the PARCCEL acroynm. Great for developing existing skills and even better as a revision tool.

A Level: (9) Julius Caesar By William Shakespeare - The theme of Logic and Language

This beautifully illustrated powerpoint presentation explores the theme of 'Logic and Language' in William Shakespeare's 'Julius Caesar'. Through a series of structured tasks, media clips, focused discussion and academic responses the students explore both post modern examples of this theme, and also examples from the play itself. I have used this resource many times in a number of different ways: as a lesson resource (obviously), a homework and a revision material – all have worked extremely well for me.
